CAF CUP: ASEC SMASHES CONSTANTINE 6-0, THE FIRST RESULTS OF THE DAY
In today’s Confederation Cup play-off matches, several teams secured their spots in the next stage of the competition.
Despite a 1-0 defeat in Zambia against ZESCO United, Medeama from Ghana advanced to the next round thanks to their 2-0 victory in the first leg in Accra. Jackson Mwanza scored the only goal of the match.
ASEC Mimosas delivered an outstanding performance, defeating Constantine of Algeria 6-0. Goals from Ibrahima Fofana (2), Adama Kangouté, Foba Stevens Koffi (2), and Adriel D’avila Ba Loua secured their qualification.
Petro Luanda secured their place in the next round with a 1-0 victory over Ismaily of Egypt.
In Tunisia, CA Bizertin defeated Warri Wolves of Nigeria 2-1, advancing with a 2-1 aggregate score after their 0-0 draw in the first leg.
