CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: ESPERANCE DE TUNIS AND SÉTIF QUALIFIED, COTON SPORT OUT
With Saturday’s results, two more teams have secured their spots in the group stage of the African Champions League.
Esperance de Tunis continued their strong performance from the first leg in Bamako by defeating Real Bamako 3-0 at home. Goals from Haythem Jouini, Iheb Msakni, and Harrison Afful secured the victory for Esperance, confirming their advancement to the group stage.
Similarly, Entente Sétif advanced to the group stage after defeating Coton Sport in Garoua with a 1-0 victory. El Hedi Belameiri scored the crucial goal for Sétif, who also won the first leg by the same score.
The remaining two spots in the group stage will be determined by the outcomes of the matches between Zamalek and Nkana, as well as Hilal Ondurman and AC Léopards.
