Bayern Munich expected line-up: Ismael Saibari set for midfield role against Augsburg
Bayern Munich are expected to include Ismael Saibari in midfield for Saturday’s Bavarian derby against Augsburg at the WWK ARENA, according to German newspaper TZ.
The 25-year-old Morocco international, who wears number 34, has been named alongside Joshua Kimmich and Aleksandar Pavlovic in the predicted starting line-up. The midfield trio are expected to provide service for an attacking front three of Michael Olise, Harry Kane and Luis Diaz.
Manuel Neuer is forecast to start in goal, with Konrad Laimer, Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah and Alphonso Davies forming the defence.
The predicted Bayern Munich line-up is:
Goalkeeper: Manuel Neuer
Defenders: Konrad Laimer, Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah, Alphonso Davies
Midfielders: Joshua Kimmich, Ismael Saibari, Aleksandar Pavlovic
Forwards: Michael Olise, Harry Kane, Luis Diaz
Saibari joined Bayern in July from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven on a five-year contract running until 2031. The reported transfer fee was €50m.
He attracted considerable attention during the 2026 World Cup, scoring in each of Morocco’s three group-stage matches. Saibari also took the decisive final penalty in Morocco’s victory over the Netherlands in the round of 32.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl described Saibari at the time as “one of the most exciting players at the World Cup”.
The midfielder could now make his expected contribution in a demanding local fixture against Augsburg, with TZ placing him in a central role ahead of Kimmich and Pavlovic.
