Al-Ittihad prepare €30m bid for Feyenoord’s Algeria winger Anis Hadj Moussa

Al-Ittihad are prepared to spend €30m to sign Feyenoord winger Anis Hadj Moussa during the current summer transfer window.

The Saudi club are looking for a new wide player after France winger Moussa Diaby completed his move to Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday. Hadj Moussa has emerged as Al-Ittihad’s preferred target to fill the vacancy in their attack.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Al-Ittihad have offered Feyenoord €30m for the permanent transfer of the Algeria international. The proposal would represent a significant investment as the Saudi club attempt to strengthen their squad before the summer window closes.

Al-Ittihad, known as the Tigers, are also hoping to take advantage of Feyenoord’s need to sell some players. The Dutch club have begun construction of their new stadium and are understood to be willing to consider departures as they manage the financial demands of that project.

Hadj Moussa enjoyed an impressive campaign with Feyenoord last season. He made 40 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists.

Those performances have attracted interest from several clubs in Europe. French sides Lille and Marseille have both expressed an interest in the 24-year-old, while Portuguese club Sporting CP have also explored the possibility of signing him.

However, none of those approaches has resulted in a successful transfer, leaving Al-Ittihad hopeful that their financial offer can persuade Feyenoord to agree a deal in the final stages of the summer market.

The Saudi club already have an Algeria international in their squad in the form of midfielder Houssem Aouar. His presence could provide an additional incentive for Hadj Moussa to move to Saudi Arabia, with the two players potentially linking up at club level.

The proposed move comes as Al-Ittihad reshape their attacking options following Diaby’s departure. Hadj Moussa’s ability to operate on the wing, combined with his goal contribution last season, has made him an attractive candidate for the role.

Al-Ittihad are now seeking to complete the signing before the summer transfer window ends, while Feyenoord must decide whether the reported €30m offer is sufficient to sanction the departure of one of their most productive attacking players.

The club’s attempt to recruit Hadj Moussa follows Diaby’s transfer to Bayer Leverkusen and would give Al-Ittihad another Algeria international alongside Aouar.
