PSG are champions of France again

Paris Saint-Germain FC and their star players achieved several historic milestones after securing the French league title following a crucial victory over RC Lens.

The Parisian giants sealed a valuable 2-0 away win on Wednesday night to mathematically confirm their dominance at the top of the table and officially secure the Ligue 1 crown before the end of the season.

PSG Continue Domestic Dominance

The victory lifted PSG to 76 points, nine clear of second-placed Lens ahead of the final round of matches.

According to Opta, the title marks PSG’s 14th French league triumph, extending their record as the most successful club in Ligue 1 history.

It is also the club’s fifth consecutive league title, a feat previously achieved only by Olympique Lyonnais, who famously won seven straight titles between 2002 and 2008.

Hakimi Matches African Ligue 1 Record

Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi also etched his name into the history books following the latest title success.

According to Statsfoot, Hakimi has now won five French league titles, equalling the record held by former Malian midfielder Mohamed Diarra as the most successful African player in Ligue 1 history.

The achievement further highlights Hakimi’s remarkable impact since joining PSG, where he has become one of the club’s most influential players.

Zaire-Emery Breaks Benzema’s Record

Young midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery also made history after becoming the youngest player ever to win four Ligue 1 titles.

At just 20 years and two months old, he surpassed former Olympique Lyonnais and Real Madrid CF striker Karim Benzema, who achieved the milestone at 20 years and four months.

Luis Enrique Sets New Coaching Milestone

Meanwhile, PSG manager Luis Enrique also entered Ligue 1 history with the title triumph.

The Spanish tactician became the first coach ever to win the French league title in each of his first three seasons in charge of a club in the competition.

The achievement caps another dominant campaign for PSG as they continue to strengthen their position as the leading force in French football.
