Inter Milan bounce back from derby defeat with emphatic win at Feyenoord

Inter Milan responded to their 3-1 defeat by local rivals AC Milan by beating Feyenoord 3-0 at De Kuip in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

The result was Feyenoord’s first home defeat by an Italian club in the Champions League league phase, or the group stage under the former format. Before this match, the Dutch side had recorded four wins and two draws in six home games against Italian opponents, according to official Champions League statistics.

Inter took control of the match early and went into half-time with a two-goal advantage. Yann Bisseck opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a powerful strike before Francesco Pio Esposito doubled the visitors’ lead with a header in the 34th minute.

Feyenoord were unable to mount a response after the interval, with Inter continuing to dominate. Piotr Zielinski added a third goal nine minutes into the second half with a fierce shot to put the outcome beyond doubt.

The victory was Inter’s second in this season’s Champions League. They moved on to six points and 14th place in the league-phase table, while Feyenoord remained on three points in 30th.

Inter had entered the game following a disappointing result in Serie A, where they were beaten 3-1 by AC Milan in the derby. Their performance in Rotterdam provided a decisive response, with the clean sheet and three-goal margin restoring momentum in Europe.

The fixture listings accompanying the report also included Heerenveen in the Dutch league on 08 November 2026, and Feyenoord and Inter in the Italian league on 08 November 2026, with Como also listed.
