Aurelien Tchouameni gifts young fan signed shirt after accidentally hitting him with wayward shot
Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni showed a heartwarming gesture towards a young supporter after accidentally hitting him in the face with a wayward shot during Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Racing Santander.
The incident occurred in the 50th minute at El Sardinero when the French international attempted a long-range effort that missed the target and struck a young boy in the stands.
The impact left the youngster in tears, with television cameras capturing the emotional moment as his father comforted him.
However, the incident ended on a positive note after the match when the young supporter, identified as Máximo, was invited into the stadium corridors to meet the Real Madrid players.
Tchouaméni personally met the boy, apologised for the accidental incident and presented him with his signed match shirt. The midfielder also shared a photograph with the youngster on social media, accompanied by the reassuring message: “Tout va bien” (Everything is fine).
The young fan also received a special surprise when Kylian Mbappé stopped to meet him and take a photograph together.
The French forward light-heartedly teased his teammate about the incident, joking: “It’s Tchouaméni’s fault, he doesn’t know how to shoot.”
The gesture brought smiles to the youngster and his family, turning an unfortunate moment into an unforgettable experience.
Máximo’s father later confirmed that his son was doing well and described the Real Madrid players’ gesture as greatly appreciated.
Tchouaméni’s thoughtful response and Mbappé’s playful interaction provided a memorable moment beyond the result of the match, highlighting the human side of football.
