Ollie Watkins adds Al Fateh to Al Hilal scoring list in Roshn Saudi League

Ollie Watkins continued his impressive start to life in the Roshn Saudi League by scoring against Al Fateh on Saturday, giving Al Hilal another attacking contribution from the England striker.

Watkins opened the scoring in the 12th minute of the teams’ match in the 12th round. He reacted quickest after the ball came back off the crossbar, guiding the rebound into the net with a composed finish.

The goal took Watkins’ league tally for the season to five, making him Al Hilal’s second-highest scorer in the competition. Only Brazil forward Gabriel Martinelli has scored more for the club.

Since joining Al Hilal, Watkins has provided the attacking impact expected of him. His movement in the penalty area and ability to take advantage of rebounds and other opportunities have made him one of the key players in the club’s challenge for the Roshn Saudi League title.

Watkins’ latest strike also added another team to the list of opponents against whom he has scored while wearing Al Hilal’s colours, underlining his growing influence in the competition.

Al Hilal goals shared among 11 players

Al Hilal’s attacking threat has not been dependent on one forward. Eleven different players have scored for the club in the Roshn Saudi League this season, highlighting the range of goalscoring options available to the team.

Mohamed Mahzari and Morocco international Yassine Bounou are the only two players in Al Hilal’s current squad yet to score in the competition. Every other member of the group has found the net, giving the side several sources of danger in front of goal.

Al Hilal’s next listed fixture is against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai in the AFC Champions League Elite on 03 November 2026. Al Fateh are scheduled to face Riyadh in the Roshn Saudi League on 06 November 2026.
