Orlando Pirates name starting XI for African Stars Champions League tie

Orlando Pirates have confirmed their starting line-up for Friday’s CAF Champions League second preliminary-round meeting with African Stars at Orlando Amstel Arena.

The Buccaneers take a 1-0 lead into the second leg after Tshepang Moremi scored the only goal in last weekend’s opening match.

Abdeslam Ouaddou’s side have had a full week to prepare, with no midweek fixture interrupting their preparations. However, Pirates will be conscious of last season’s disappointment, when they were knocked out at this stage by Congolese club Saint Lupopo.

African Stars must win in order to keep their hopes of reaching the group stages alive. The Namibian champions are seeking a first qualification for the CAF Champions League group stages.

Orlando Pirates’ starting XI is:

Orlando Pirates: Chaine, Zulu, Seema, Sigomoshe, Ndaba, Mbatha, Selepe, Mokobodi, Masilela, Moremi, Makgopa

Substitutes: Dladla, Derbyshire, Hotto, Mthiyane, Dansin, Padime, Kgositsile, Lungu, Mbuthuma
