Napoli lead Bodø/Glimt 2-1 as Politano and McTominay strike

Napoli lead Bodø/Glimt 2-1 at half-time after Matteo Politano and Scott McTominay scored for the Italian side in a lively opening Champions League encounter.

Politano put Napoli ahead inside the first minute, giving Massimiliano Allegri’s side the ideal start.

However, Andre-Frank Zambo’s team then dropped deeper and allowed the Norwegian visitors to regain control of the contest.

Bodø/Glimt were rewarded for their response in the 27th minute when winger Jens Petter Hauge found the net to level the score. The goal restored confidence among the visitors and shifted the momentum of the match.

Napoli recovered before the interval, with McTominay restoring their advantage in the 41st minute after a well-worked team move.
