Barcelona make major changes for Getafe clash as Gabriel Jesus starts

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has made several changes to his starting line-up for Saturday evening’s La Liga meeting with Getafe at Spotify Camp Nou.

Joan Garcia returns in goal, while Gabriel Jesus makes his first start for the club. However, Flick has also left Pau Cubarsi and Pedri among the substitutes in a relatively significant reshuffle.

The line-up is:

Joan Garcia; Jules Kounde, Eric Garcia, Gerard Martin, Espart; Rodri, Gavi; Dani Olmo, Lamine Yamal, Gabriel Jesus, Gordon.

Flick had already confirmed some of the changes during his pre-match news conference, including Joan Garcia’s return and Gabriel Jesus’ inclusion from the start. The extent of the changes was not fully known until the team was announced.

Barcelona’s substitutes are Wojciech Szczesny, Dominik Livakovic, Joao Cancelo, Alejandro Balde, Brian Farinas, Pau Cubarsi, Fermin Lopez, Pedri, Karim Adeyemi, Marc Bernal and Hamza Abdelkarim.

The Catalan club will be without Raphinha, Andreas Christensen, Frenkie de Jong and Roony Bardghji for the eighth round of the league season.
