Barcelona have announced that young Spanish full-back Xavi Espart has agreed a contract extension with the club that will keep him at Camp Nou until June 2030.
The new agreement was confirmed in an official statement, with the formal signing expected to take place at the club’s headquarters in the coming days.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta will attend the ceremony, after which Espart will speak to the media.
Espart joined Barcelona’s academy in the summer of 2015 and was later promoted to the first team. He made his senior debut in March 2026 under manager Hansi Flick.
The defender has made 11 appearances for Barcelona’s first team so far, scoring once and providing two assists.
Barcelona are preparing to face Getafe on Saturday in the eighth round of the Spanish league season. The match will be played at Camp Nou.
The Catalan club currently lead the Spanish league table with 21 points from seven matches, having won all seven of their games.
