Pyramids manager Rolani Mokoena has announced his squad for Wednesday’s Egypt Capital Cup group-stage match against Al Qanah, with 12 players unavailable and two youth internationals included.
Pyramids host Al Qanah at 17:00 on Wednesday in the opening round of Group B.
South African coach Mokoena has selected Ziad Saudi and Abdullah Badeer, who represent Egypt’s youth and junior national teams.
The squad is:
Goalkeepers: Ahmed El Shenawy, Mahmoud Gad, Hazem Gamal
Defenders: Mahmoud Marei, Ahmed Sami, Mohamed El Sheiby, Khaled Awad, Hassan Hesham
Midfielders: Mostafa Fathi, Ahmed Tawfik, Mahmoud Abdel Hafiz “Zalaka”, Walid El Karti, Abdel Rahman Magdy, Ahmed Atef “Katta”, Ahmed Fawzi, Ali Hamouda, Youssef Misho, Ziad Saudi, Abdullah Badeer
Forwards: Youssef Obama, Ahmed Nazeer Bou Ali, Dodo El Gabas
Pyramids will be without Eyad El Askalany, Ahmed Abdel Kader, Ouda El Fakhouri, Hamed Hamdan, Osama Galal, Mahmoud Saber, Mohannad Lashin, Mohamed Hamdy, Nasser Maher, Karim Hafez, Everton da Silva and Mostafa Abdel Raouf “Zico”.
Zico, Mohannad Lashin, Mahmoud Saber and Karim Hafez are away with the Egypt senior national team.
Ouda El Fakhouri is on duty with Jordan, while Hamed Hamdan is with the Palestine national team.
Pyramids, Al Qanah, Smouha, Modern Sport and National Bank of Egypt make up Group B of the Egypt Capital Cup.
