Zamalek step up efforts to resolve registration ban before winter window
Zamalek are working to resolve their current registration suspension in a bid to strengthen the squad during the upcoming winter transfer window.
The Egyptian giants are currently serving a disciplinary registration ban linked to the case involving former player Salah El-Din Mossadeq, alongside other outstanding matters that have prevented the club from registering new players.
Zamalek have not abandoned their efforts to resolve the situation, despite reports suggesting the club had backed away from finding a solution.
The Egyptian giants have already taken several steps towards ending the disciplinary ban, with only some remaining procedures left to complete.
The club also believes that speculation surrounding the registration issue is intended to create instability within the team ahead of the highly anticipated Egyptian Premier League clash against Al Ahly.
Mossadeq has informed the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) that he has reached an agreement with Zamalek over his outstanding financial dues after receiving part of the money and agreeing on a schedule for the remaining amount.
Zamalek are keen to resolve the case and other outstanding issues before the January transfer window opens, which would allow the club to register new signings and reinforce their squad.
The Cairo giants are currently second in the Egyptian Premier League with 13 points, two behind leaders Pyramids.
Their immediate focus, however, is the Cairo derby against Al Ahly on October 11 at Cairo International Stadium, with the club determined to maintain stability ahead of the crucial encounter.
