Sidi Kacem sign Morocco attacking midfielder Saber Ait Abed as a free agent

Morocco attacking midfielder Saber Ait Abed has joined Sidi Kacem as a free agent, returning to the club after spending the previous part of the 2025-26 season with Beni Mellal.

The 24-year-old’s move was registered on 16 September 2026 and brings him back to a side he previously represented before switching clubs last year. No transfer fee has been disclosed for the move.

Ait Abed left Sidi Kacem for Beni Mellal on 13 August 2025, also on a free transfer. His spell with Beni Mellal ended on 15 January 2026, after which he was without a club before completing his return to Sidi Kacem.

The Kenitra-born player has been used in the attacking midfield position and is left-footed. He is listed at 1.75m, providing Sidi Kacem with an experienced option in the midfield area as the club adds him to its squad for the 2026-27 season.

Ait Abed has one recorded appearance in the Coupe du Trone Marocaine, playing the full 90 minutes. The available record does not include a goal or assist from that outing.

His return also marks the latest stage of a career that began with a move from KAC Reserve to Sidi Kacem in August 2023. That earlier transfer was completed without a fee, before Ait Abed later moved on to Beni Mellal.

The midfielder holds Moroccan nationality and has been associated with Union de Sidi Kacem at national-club level. His return gives Sidi Kacem a player already familiar with the club after his previous spell there.

Ait Abed has completed his free transfer back to Sidi Kacem, with the move taking effect on 16 September 2026.
