Abdou Kargbo: Gambia midfielder joins Podbrezova U19 from Real de Banjul

The Gambia midfielder Abdou Kargbo has joined Podbrezova U19 from Real de Banjul, completing a move to Slovakia on 16 September 2026.

Kargbo, 18, plays as a defensive midfielder and will compete in Slovakia’s I. Liga SD with the Podbrezova youth side. The transfer takes the teenager from his Gambian club to FK Zeleziarne Podbrezova’s under-19 setup.

The move represents a change of footballing environment for Kargbo, who has left Real de Banjul to continue his career in Slovak youth football. His role in defensive midfield places him in the central area of the pitch, where he will be used in Podbrezova’s under-19 structure.

Kargbo’s arrival was registered on 16 September, with Podbrezova U19 listed as his new club. He is now part of a side competing in the I. Liga SD, Slovakia’s under-19 league competition.

The teenager’s nationality is listed as The Gambia, while his previous club was Real de Banjul. No contract length has been stated for his move to Podbrezova.

Kargbo has therefore left Real de Banjul and joined Podbrezova U19 in Slovakia.
