Bayern Munich interested in German-Moroccan teenager Wael Mohya
Bayern Munich are monitoring Borussia Mönchengladbach youngster Wael Mohya but do not view the 17-year-old as a potential replacement for Luis Díaz on the left wing.
According to Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg, the German champions see Mohya as a player better suited to the attacking midfield role, particularly the number 10 position.
The interest comes as Bayern look to sign a young left winger next summer to provide support for Colombian international Díaz.
Gladbach demand could reach €35 million
Mohya remains under contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach until 2028, meaning Bayern would have to negotiate with the Bundesliga club if they decide to pursue a transfer.
Media reports suggest that a fee of around €35 million could be required to secure the teenager’s services.
Playing time key to Mohya’s decision
It remains unclear whether Bayern will make a formal move for the young attacking midfielder.
However, regular playing time is reportedly the most important factor for Mohya as he considers his next career step.
