Eintracht Frankfurt are considering bringing Nottingham Forest striker Arnaud Kalimuendo back to Germany on another loan deal after his limited playing time in the Premier League.

According to L’Equipe, Frankfurt sporting director Timmo Hardung has already made contact with Nottingham Forest to discuss a possible second loan for the 24-year-old forward.

Kalimuendo is reportedly keen on returning to Germany, where he enjoyed a more productive spell during his previous loan.

Kalimuendo struggled for regular opportunities at Forest

The French striker joined Nottingham Forest from Rennes for €30 million last summer but has struggled to establish himself in the Premier League.

After a difficult start to life in England, he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt on loan in January, where he recorded seven goal contributions in 19 appearances.

However, following his return to Nottingham Forest, Kalimuendo has continued to receive limited opportunities.

Despite the appointment of Oliver Glasner, the forward has managed just 110 minutes of competitive football this season.

Frankfurt explore another loan deal

Kalimuendo remains under contract with Nottingham Forest until 2030, but his lack of playing time has opened the possibility of another move.

Frankfurt are now exploring the option of bringing him back on loan as they look to reunite with a striker who previously enjoyed a more successful spell in Germany.
