Moghreb Tetouan sign Mali striker Seydou Diabate on free transfer

Mali centre-forward Seydou Diabate has joined Moroccan club Moghreb Tetouan on a free transfer from Djoliba AC.

The 24-year-old completed the move on 15 September 2026, beginning a new chapter in Morocco’s Botola Pro Inwi. Diabate, who was born on 15 July 2002, joins Moghreb Tetouan as a forward whose primary position is at the centre of the attack.

His arrival follows a period at Djoliba AC during which he featured in African club competition. Diabate made six appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup, playing 366 minutes, and also appeared twice in the CAF Champions League, registering 120 minutes in the competition.

Those matches provide the available record of his recent continental involvement before the switch to Morocco. His move to Moghreb Tetouan places him in a new domestic league and gives the club an experienced option in the central attacking role at the age of 24.

Diabate’s transfer was completed without a fee, with the forward leaving Djoliba AC to join Moghreb Tetouan. The agreement was recorded for the 2026-27 season, although the length of his contract has not been stated.

The forward now becomes part of a Moghreb Tetouan squad competing in Morocco’s top-flight Botola Pro Inwi. For Diabate, the move represents a change of club and country after his spell with Djoliba, while his recent involvement in both the CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Champions League forms the main competitive background to his arrival.

He joins Moghreb Tetouan as a Mali international by nationality and a specialist centre-forward, with his new club having secured his services in a completed free transfer from Djoliba AC.
