Morocco midfielder Hamza Bousqal joins Ben Guerir on free transfer
Morocco defensive midfielder Hamza Bousqal has joined Ben Guerir from Union Touarga on a free transfer, completing his move on 15 September 2026.
The 25-year-old, born in Casablanca, arrives at Ben Guerir after one season with Union Touarga. Bousqal made 18 appearances in the Botola Pro Inwi during the 2025-26 campaign and also featured once in the Coupe du Trone Marocaine.
His most recent campaign included 528 minutes in league football, alongside 45 minutes in the domestic cup. He adds experience of Moroccan domestic competition to Ben Guerir’s midfield after moving between clubs without a transfer fee throughout his senior career.
Bousqal joined Union Touarga from Rapide Oued Zem in August 2025, also on a free transfer. Before that move, he had spent time with Rapide Oued Zem after leaving Union Touarga in September 2023. His earlier senior career began with AM Football, from where he moved to Union Touarga in November 2020.
The transfer represents a return to a familiar domestic football environment for Bousqal, who has remained within the Moroccan game throughout his career. His preferred position is defensive midfield, giving him a defined role in the centre of the pitch as he begins his next chapter with Ben Guerir.
Bousqal’s recorded market value stood at €25,000 at the time of the move, having previously reached €50,000. The valuation does not affect the terms of the transfer, with the switch from Union Touarga completed without a fee.
The move also continues a sequence of free transfers in Bousqal’s career, following his switches between AM Football, Union Touarga and Rapide Oued Zem. He now links up with Ben Guerir after making 19 competitive appearances across league and cup football in his previous season.
