Soccer Laduma and Kickoff publish updated terms for website users

By using the websites operated by Novus Group Company, including Soccer Laduma and Kickoff, visitors agree to these terms and conditions as well as the Privacy Policy, which is available here.

In this document, “We”, “Us”, “Our” and “Novus” refer to Novus Group Company, including Soccer Laduma and Kickoff. “Website” covers www.soccerladuma.co.za, www.kickoff.com, any replacement URLs and all related Soccer Laduma and Kickoff websites and micro-sites. “You” and “Your” refer to any person using the Website.

Use of the websites

Users must comply with all relevant laws and regulations and must not use the Website for illegal purposes. They are also prohibited from interfering with, damaging or reducing the functionality or efficiency of the Website.

Accessing any part of the Website without authorisation is not permitted. If a dispute arises between users as a result of their use of the Website, those involved must resolve it independently of Novus.

Users accept full responsibility for any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs or expenses, including legal fees, incurred by Novus because of a breach of these conditions by the user or by anyone using their internet connection.

Changes and availability

Novus may change or withdraw the Website, or any section of it, without prior notice. It will not be liable to users or third parties for any such amendment or withdrawal.

The terms and conditions may also be revised from time to time. Continuing to use the Website after changes have been made will be treated as acceptance of the revised terms. Users are responsible for checking regularly for updates.

No compensation will be paid if access to the Website fails or if the Website is changed.

Content and intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in material published on the Website belong to Novus or its licensors. Users may use that material only where permission has been granted under these terms.

Website content is supplied for personal, non-commercial use. Users must not reproduce, publish, distribute or create derivative works from the material without authorisation. Other unauthorised use is also prohibited.

Disclaimers and liability

The Website and its content are provided “as is”, without express or implied warranties. This includes, but is not limited to, warranties relating to satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and accuracy.

Novus does not promise that the Website, or any products and services connected to it, will meet a user’s requirements, remain secure or uninterrupted, or operate without errors. It is not responsible for content lost through uploads or downloads.

The security and privacy of the Website cannot be guaranteed, and Novus will not be responsible for any security breach that results.

Novus is also not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses connected with the use of the Website or external websites linked to it, even where such losses could have been anticipated.

Soccer Laduma and Kickoff forums

Users of the Soccer Laduma and Kickoff forums, known as the “Online Services”, must comply with these rules, the websites’ Terms and Conditions of Use and the Privacy Policy. Anyone who does not accept them must stop using the forums immediately.

The forums are not actively monitored, and Novus accepts no responsibility for the content of messages posted there. However, it may monitor, edit or remove posts at its discretion.

Messages represent the views of their authors and not those of Soccer Laduma or Kickoff. Objectionable material should be reported to editor@soccerladuma.co.za.

Users must not submit content that infringes intellectual property rights, is defamatory, invades privacy, causes harm or is otherwise objectionable. Impersonating another person or falsely claiming an affiliation is prohibited.

Mass posting, also known as “flooding”, and the transmission of viruses are not allowed. Users must not distribute unsolicited promotions or spam. Anyone sharing personal information in the forums may receive unsolicited messages.

Competitions and promotions

Competitions are open to South African permanent residents and citizens, except employees of Novus and its affiliates.

Entries must be submitted before the relevant closing date. Novus is not responsible for entries that are lost or submitted late because of technical problems or other issues.

Prizes may be changed, while winners are responsible for any taxes and costs unless the competition specifies otherwise. Winners may also be required to provide further information so that prizes can be processed.

General terms

The terms are governed by South African law. Decisions made by Novus and its judges are final.

Where these conditions are breached, Novus may choose the remedy it considers appropriate.

This document represents the entire agreement between the user and Novus concerning its subject matter. Oral statements will not change how it is interpreted. If any provision is found to be unlawful, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
