Sebastian Clemmensen linked with Rio Ave move from IFK Goteborg
Sebastian Clemmensen, the Denmark and Togo international winger currently at Rio Ave, has been linked with a move to the Portuguese club from IFK Goteborg.
The reported switch is dated 3 September 2026 and would take the 23-year-old from Sweden’s Allsvenskan to Liga Portugal. The transfer is valued at €1.4m, while Clemmensen’s market value is listed at €500,000.
Clemmensen joined Rio Ave after leaving IFK Goteborg, having previously moved to the Swedish club from Hammarby in February 2025. His proposed contract with Rio Ave runs until 30 June 2030.
The right winger has made four appearances in Conference League qualifying this season, starting all four matches and playing 85% of the available minutes. He has not scored or registered an assist in the competition.
Clemmensen was born in Tarnby and has Danish and Togolese nationality. He began his senior career with B.93 before moving to Hammarby and then IFK Goteborg.
His only listed honour is the Danish second-tier Youth Championship, won with Boldklubben af 1893 Under-19s in 2021. He is left-footed and stands 1.83m tall.
The reported transfer would leave Clemmensen under contract at Rio Ave through the end of the 2029-30 season.
