Al-Ittihad consider move for Sunderland winger Chemsdine Talbi

Moroccan-Belgian winger Chemsdine Talbi has been linked with a move from Sunderland to Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad.

Talbi, 21, joined Sunderland from Club Brugge in July 2025 in a transfer worth €20m and remains under contract with the Premier League club until June 2030.

The right winger has made one Premier League appearance for Sunderland this season, playing 17 minutes without scoring or assisting. He also featured five times for Morocco at the 2026 World Cup, contributing one assist.

Talbi began his senior career with Club Brugge, where he won the Belgian Cup in 2025 and helped the club claim the league title in the 2023-24 season. He was also part of Morocco’s Africa Cup of Nations-winning squad in 2025.

The reported interest from Al-Ittihad comes little more than a year after Sunderland made Talbi one of their significant attacking investments. His market value is listed at €25m, although there is no indication of whether the Saudi club has made a formal offer or whether Sunderland would consider selling.

Talbi’s current contract gives Sunderland control of his immediate future, with the winger tied to the club for four more seasons beyond the current campaign.
