Lilian Brassier makes Bundesliga switch as Eintracht Frankfurt secure long-term deal

Lilian Brassier has left Stade Rennais to join Eintracht Frankfurt on a contract running until June 2031.

Brassier joined Stade Rennais in January 2025 but will depart after only 18 months with the Breton club. During that period, he made 41 appearances and helped bring greater stability to a defence that had been searching for consistency.

His time in Rennes also represented an important recovery in his career. Brassier had endured a difficult six-month spell at Olympique de Marseille before moving back to Brittany and rebuilding his confidence and form.

His career has taken him from Brest to Marseille and then Rennes, and he will now begin his first experience of another domestic competition in the Bundesliga.
