Olisa Ndah joins Al Shomooa SC after Stellenbosch FC departure

Former Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC defender Olisa Ndah has secured a move to Libyan club Al Shomooa SC for the 2026/27 season, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2028.

The 28-year-old Nigerian defender joins Al Shomooa SC after a short spell with Stellenbosch FC, where he made seven appearances following his arrival in February earlier this year.

The Libyan club confirmed the move on Facebook, announcing that Ndah would become part of their defensive group.

“We are pleased to announce that Olisa Ndah Defence Rock joins the team ranks,” the club announced on Facebook.

“With a contract that extends for two seasons until 2028, to be a strong addition to our line of Defence.

“Wait for us.. The work is ongoing and our upcoming deals will rise to your aspirations in an exceptional season!

The agreement means Ndah will continue his career outside South Africa after previously spending time with Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC.

His stint with Stellenbosch FC began in February, but he was limited to seven appearances before moving on at the end of the campaign. Al Shomooa SC have now brought him in as a new addition to their defence ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The club described the Nigerian as a key reinforcement for its back line and indicated that further deals would follow as preparations continue for the new campaign.

Ndah’s move gives him the opportunity to establish himself in a new league after his limited involvement at Stellenbosch FC. His contract with Al Shomooa SC runs for two seasons, extending through 2028.

The defender is now set to begin the next stage of his career with the Libyan outfit, who have publicly welcomed him to the club and wished him well for his time with the team.
