UD Logrones bring in Senegal winger Papa Ba from Girona B

Senegal winger Papa Ba has joined UD Logrones from Girona FC B on loan, completing a move to the Primera Federacion club.

Ba, 22, will remain with UD Logrones until 30 June 2027 after switching from Girona’s reserve side. The right winger, who favours his left foot, becomes the latest step in a career that began in Senegal before taking him to Spain.

The move follows two-and-a-half years with Girona B, whom Ba joined from Keur Madior FC on 23 January 2024 on a free transfer. He made 25 appearances and scored four goals in Segunda Federacion, while also featuring six times in the promotion play-offs.

Ba has also recorded three Copa del Rey appearances, including one assist, and made a senior La Liga appearance during his time in the Spanish game. He has played 47 minutes in the top flight.

Born in Thies, Senegal, Ba stands 1.80m tall and operates primarily on the right side of the attack. His profile has also included involvement across different levels of Spanish football, from reserve-team competition to the country’s highest division.

UD Logrones compete in Primera Federacion’s Group I, while Girona B played in Segunda Federacion’s Group II at the time of the transfer. Ba’s move therefore takes him into a higher division of the Spanish league system for the 2026-27 campaign.

His previous move to Girona followed his departure from Keur Madior, marking his first switch into Spanish football. Since then, he has accumulated competitive experience in league, play-off and cup matches, as well as his La Liga outing.

Ba’s recorded market value is €200,000, although no transfer fee has been given for the loan move. He joins UD Logrones as a right winger and is contracted to the club for the duration of the loan, which ends on 30 June 2027.
