FC Van bring in Nigerian teenager Khalil Ahmad Sammani on loan

Nigeria centre-forward Khalil Ahmad Sammani has joined Armenian Premier League side FC Van from Alashkert FC on loan.

The 18-year-old completed the move on 27 August 2026 after making two league appearances for Alashkert this season. Sammani has played six minutes in the Premier League campaign, without scoring or providing an assist.

His switch keeps him in Armenia’s top flight, with FC Van and Alashkert both competing in the Premier League. Sammani’s arrival gives FC Van another centre-forward option as they continue their domestic campaign and prepare for their schedule in the new season.

Sammani joined Alashkert from FDC Vista on 3 February 2026. Before that move, he had been with Mailantarki FC, which he left for FDC Vista in July 2025.

The teenager began his latest campaign with limited playing time at Alashkert, appearing twice in the Premier League without starting either match. He was not involved in Alashkert’s UEFA Conference League qualifying appearances listed for the season.

Sammani is listed at 1.90m and plays primarily as a centre-forward. His market value is recorded at €50,000, while his early senior career has included spells at three clubs in the space of just over a year.

FC Van’s move also places Sammani in a squad competing in both domestic football and European qualifying. The club’s European campaign is recorded in the UEFA Conference League qualifying competition, although Sammani has not made an appearance in that tournament.

The loan agreement runs until 30 June 2027, when Sammani is scheduled to return to Alashkert. His immediate task at FC Van will be to establish himself in the attacking group and increase his senior minutes after a brief start to the current campaign.

Sammani’s completed loan move to FC Van runs through the end of the 2026-27 season.
