Tottenham monitor Stuttgart’s Morocco international Bilal El Khannouss

Moroccan-Belgian international Bilal El Khannouss is being linked with a move from Stuttgart to Tottenham in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder joined Stuttgart permanently from Leicester on 1 July 2026 for a reported €15m, following a loan spell at the Bundesliga club during the previous season. El Khannouss is currently valued at €35m.

He has made one appearance for Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal this season, while starting all six of Morocco’s World Cup matches.

El Khannouss began his senior career with Genk, moving to Leicester in August 2024 for €22.5m before spending the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Stuttgart. His performances during that loan led to a permanent return to Germany, where he signed a contract running until June 2030.

The midfielder has also won the Africa Cup of Nations with Morocco, who claimed the title in 2025. He was part of the Morocco Under-23 side that won the Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations in 2023 and helped the country’s Olympic team to a bronze medal in 2024.

Tottenham’s reported interest comes shortly after El Khannouss began his first season as a permanent Stuttgart player. No transfer fee or probability has been established for a potential move to north London, while his long-term contract leaves Stuttgart with the player tied to the club until 2030.
