Konyaspor target Nantes’ Mostafa Mohamed in Super Lig transfer rumour

Mostafa Mohamed, the Egypt international currently at FC Nantes, has been linked with a move to Turkish Super Lig club Konyaspor.

The 28-year-old centre-forward is under contract with Nantes until 30 June 2027, but his future has become the subject of speculation as Konyaspor consider a possible transfer. No fee or agreement has been reported.

Mohamed has yet to feature for Nantes in Ligue 2 this season, despite the club having played three possible matches. His current market value is listed at €3.5m.

Nantes signed the striker permanently from Galatasaray in July 2023 for €5.75m after he had spent the previous season on loan at the French club. He initially joined Galatasaray from Egyptian side Zamalek in 2021 on a temporary deal before making the move permanent a year later.

Mohamed began his senior career with Zamalek and has also played for Talaea El Gaish, while representing Egypt at international level. He was part of the Egypt side that finished runners-up at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2021-22.

The proposed switch would take Mohamed from France’s second tier to Turkey’s top flight, with Konyaspor the club currently associated with the rumour. For now, he remains a Nantes player with a contract running through the end of the 2026-27 season.
