Express re-sign Ghana striker Bernard Sarfo Twumasi from Konnerud IL

Ghanaian striker Bernard Sarfo Twumasi has rejoined Norwegian side Express on a free transfer from Konnerud IL.

The 29-year-old completed the move on 27 August 2026, returning to the club he first joined in June 2022. Twumasi spent the intervening period at Express before leaving for Konnerud IL in February 2026.

Twumasi’s return brings him back to a club where he previously played as a forward. His latest switch was completed without a transfer fee, with Express securing his services from Konnerud IL after a spell that lasted several months.

The striker has appeared in Norwegian domestic competitions, including the Norsk Tipping-Ligaen and NM-Cup. His recorded appearances include seven matches in Norsk Tipping-Ligaen avdeling 1, seven in Norsk Tipping-Ligaen avdeling 4 and one NM-Cup appearance, in which he scored once.

Twumasi’s NM-Cup goal came in a 120-minute appearance. His return to Express follows his move away from the club earlier in 2026 and marks the latest stage of a playing career spent in Norwegian football.

He initially joined Express as a free agent in 2022, before transferring to Konnerud IL on another free move in February this year. Konnerud then released him for his return to Express, also without a fee.

The deal restores Twumasi’s connection with Express and gives the Ghanaian forward another spell at the club. No contract expiry date has been announced for his new agreement.

Twumasi is listed as a striker and has Ghanaian nationality. His completed move was registered on 27 August 2026, with Express named as his current club following the transfer.

The Ghanaian forward has therefore made a free-transfer return to Express from Konnerud IL.
