Christian Kofane transfer: Aston Villa linked with €40m-rated Leverkusen striker
Cameroonian forward Christian Kofane is being linked with a move from Leverkusen to Aston Villa, with the Premier League club reportedly considering a deal for the 20-year-old.
Kofane’s reported transfer probability is 19%, while his current market value is listed at €40m. There is no indication that negotiations have reached an advanced stage.
The centre-forward joined Bayer Leverkusen from Albacete in July 2025 for a reported €5.25m fee. He has a contract with the Bundesliga club until 30 June 2029, meaning Leverkusen are under no immediate pressure to sell.
Kofane has made one appearance for Leverkusen in the 2026-27 DFB-Pokal, scoring once in 25 minutes of action. He remains part of the German club’s first-team squad, wearing the number 35 shirt.
The forward previously moved to Albacete from the Spanish club’s under-19 side during the 2024-25 season, before securing his transfer to Leverkusen several months later.
Aston Villa’s reported interest comes as Kofane’s valuation has risen significantly from the €5m recorded when he joined Leverkusen. Any potential move would take the Cameroon internationalwho was born in Doualainto the Premier League, although the rumour remains at an early stage and there has been no confirmation of an offer.
