England-Nigeria forward Prosper Romanus makes Unirea Bascov switch
England-Nigeria centre-forward Prosper Romanus has joined Romanian club Unirea Bascov from Norway’s Nybergsund.
The 20-year-old completed the move on 26 August 2026, beginning a new chapter with the Romanian side. Romanus, who was born in London, is eligible to represent both England and Nigeria and has held both nationalities during his career.
Romanus operates in the centre-forward position and is predominantly right-footed. Standing at 1.75m, he arrives at Unirea Bascov as an attacking player whose primary role is to lead the line and provide a central presence in the final third.
His departure brings his time with Nybergsund to an end. The Norwegian club was the latest side in his career before the switch to Romania, with the move taking place during the 2026-27 season.
Romanus was born on 29 July 2006 and joins Unirea Bascov at the age of 20. His London birthplace and dual English-Nigerian nationality give him a background spanning both England and Nigeria, while his move to Romania represents a change of footballing environment.
The transfer also marks a move between clubs based in different countries, with Romanus leaving Norway for Romania. Unirea Bascov are now the club listed as his current side, and the forward’s arrival adds a centre-forward to their squad.
