Morocco winger Couhaib Driouech trains with new Celta Vigo teammates

Moroccan winger Couhaib Driouech has completed his move from PSV Eindhoven to Spanish side Celta Vigo, beginning a new chapter in his European career.

The 24-year-old joined Celta on Tuesday in a transfer reportedly worth €7m and has signed a contract that will keep him at the La Liga club until 2030.

The move ends Driouech’s career in the Netherlands, where he developed through spells with Excelsior Rotterdam and SC Heerenveen before establishing himself at PSV.

Moroccan winger excited by Celta move

Driouech said he was delighted to join Celta and eager to begin working with his new team.

“I’m very happy to be here. I’m excited to play for Celta. I’ve heard very good stories about the club, and I’m happy to be part of this family.”

The Morocco international also pledged to give everything for his new club and the city as he takes his first professional step outside the Netherlands.

“I’ll try to give my best and do everything I can for the club and for the colors of the city. I hope we can achieve great things together.”

Driouech arrives after impressive PSV season

Driouech enjoyed a productive 2025-26 campaign, making 40 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists.

His performances also earned him valuable Champions League experience, with the winger featuring in 12 matches and contributing four goals and two assists.

One of his most memorable displays came against Liverpool, when he scored twice and was named player of the match.

Celta add versatile attacking option

Driouech primarily operates on the left wing but is also capable of playing on the opposite flank, giving Celta coach Claudio Giráldez another versatile option in attack.

The Spanish club will hope his pace, creativity and goalscoring ability can strengthen their squad ahead of the new La Liga season.

For Driouech, the move represents a significant career step as he leaves Dutch football for the first time and begins his challenge in Spain.

His performances at Celta will also be closely followed in Morocco as the winger looks to continue his development on the European stage.
