Chippa United receive PSL approval to use Buffalo City and Nelson Mandela Bay stadiums

Chippa United have received approval from the Premier Soccer League (PSL) to stage their forthcoming home fixtures at Buffalo City Stadium and Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

The two venues had been unavailable while maintenance work was being carried out, but the Chilli Boys have now confirmed that both stadiums have been cleared for use.

Chippa United will officially return to Buffalo City Stadium when they face Milford FC. The club will then host Mamelodi Sundowns at the same venue on 12 September.

Buffalo City Stadium is one of the venues used during the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and the fixture against Mamelodi Sundowns will mark Chippa United’s return there following the maintenance period.

The club’s announcement provides clarity over where their upcoming home matches will be played after work at Buffalo City Stadium and Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium temporarily affected their use. With the PSL’s approval now in place, Chippa United can proceed with plans to welcome opponents at the two venues.
