Raja Casablanca coach Paco Jémez faces several selection concerns ahead of his side’s Moroccan league meeting with FUS Rabat on Tuesday, with Othman Chraibi suspended and Adam Nafati continuing to struggle with injury.

The Green Eagles will travel to Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat for their third-round fixture in the Botola Pro Inwi, hoping to secure a positive result after an underwhelming start to their campaign.

Chraibi will miss the match after receiving a direct red card during Raja’s goalless draw against Maghreb de Fès. The midfielder was initially shown a yellow card in the 35th minute for a challenge on defender Abdallah Khafifi, but the referee upgraded the punishment to a red card after reviewing the incident using VAR.

Nafati remains sidelined

Raja are also expected to be without Nafati, whose recurring injury has kept him out of the club’s friendly matches and its two official fixtures against RS Berkane and Maghreb de Fès.

His continued absence further limits Jémez’s options as he looks to improve the team’s performances and find greater consistency in attack.

Goalkeepers Khaled Kabiri Alaoui, Ismail Jafi and Ayoub Khammas, alongside Brazilian player Filippinho, are also expected to remain out of the squad after being left out of the team for the match against Maghreb de Fès.

Pressure builds on Jémez

Raja head into the encounter seeking a response after drawing 0-0 with Maghreb de Fès and producing performances that have fallen short of supporters’ expectations.

The club is keen to remain in contention near the top of the standings, making Tuesday’s fixture an important opportunity to improve its position and restore confidence.

Jémez must now find suitable tactical solutions to compensate for the absences and raise his side’s performance level against FUS Rabat.

With supporters demanding an improvement, Raja will be looking to deliver a stronger display and return to winning ways in the Moroccan top flight.
