Loic Mbe Soh makes Sparta Prague switch in €3m move from Sint-Truiden

French-Cameroonian centre-back Loic Mbe Soh has joined Sparta Prague from Belgian side Sint-Truiden in a €3m transfer.

The 25-year-old defender moves to the Czech club after spending the start of the 2026-27 season in the Jupiler Pro League, where he made two appearances and played all 180 minutes available for Sint-Truiden. He also received one yellow card during those matches.

Mbe Soh will compete in the Chance Liga with Sparta Prague and adds experience at centre-back to their squad. He is right-footed, stands 1.87m tall and has previously played in France, England, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Before moving to Prague, Mbe Soh joined Sint-Truiden from fellow Belgian club Beerschot VA in January 2026 for €500,000. He had arrived at Beerschot on a free transfer from Nottingham Forest in August 2024.

His time at Forest followed a loan spell with Almere City during the 2023-24 campaign. He also spent part of the 2022-23 season on loan at Guingamp before returning to the English club.

Mbe Soh began his senior career with Paris Saint-Germain, progressing through the club’s youth ranks before joining Paris Saint-Germain B. Nottingham Forest signed him from the reserve side in September 2020 for €5m.

The defender was part of PSG squads that won the French championship in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. He also collected a French Cup winner’s medal in 2019-20.

Mbe Soh’s move to Sparta Prague was completed on 25 August 2026, with the Czech club paying €3m to sign him from Sint-Truiden.
