RCA Zemamra bring in Morocco centre-back Amine El Maswab from RS Berkane

Morocco centre-back Amine El Maswab has joined RCA Zemamra from fellow Botola Pro Inwi club RS Berkane, strengthening the club’s defence with a 26-year-old left-footed player.

The move sees El Maswab remain in Morocco’s top flight after spending the previous three seasons with RS Berkane. He made 21 Botola Pro Inwi appearances, registering one assist, and also featured four times in the CAF Confederation Cup and twice in the Coupe du Trone Marocaine.

El Maswab’s time at RS Berkane included the most successful period of his career so far. He was part of the side that won the CAF Confederation Cup and the Moroccan championship in the 2024-25 season, earning honours in both domestic and continental competition.

Born in Casablanca, El Maswab began his spell with RS Berkane after joining from TAS Casablanca in August 2023. That move was completed as a free transfer, giving the defender his first recorded change of club before his switch to RCA Zemamra.

His experience in Botola Pro Inwi and continental competition adds senior-level depth to the RCA Zemamra squad. El Maswab has primarily operated at centre-back, while his left foot gives the club a naturally left-sided option in defence.

RCA Zemamra and RS Berkane play in the same division, meaning the defender will not need to adapt to a new league or country. His arrival also continues a career path built in Moroccan football, from TAS Casablanca to RS Berkane and now Zemamra.

El Maswab’s market value is listed at €100,000, while his highest recorded value has been €150,000. Those figures provide context to the profile of a defender arriving with domestic and African club competition experience.

The 26-year-old has signed a contract with RCA Zemamra running until 30 June 2028.
