Juventus weigh late move for Manchester City defender Rayan Ait-Nouri

Juventus are considering a late transfer approach for Manchester City left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri as the transfer window approaches its close.

The Turin club are assessing whether to make a move for the Algeria international, who has been identified as a potential solution to strengthen their defensive flank. According to Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti is particularly attracted to Ait-Nouri’s profile and regards the position as a priority.

Juventus have been monitoring the 25-year-old for several weeks and could make an attempt to sign him in the final days of the transfer window. However, their interest faces a major obstacle because Manchester City do not appear willing to allow the defender to leave.

Ait-Nouri joined Manchester City from Wolverhampton and has quickly become a more important member of the Premier League club’s squad. His growing significance to the English champions is understood to have made a possible transfer considerably more difficult for Juventus to complete.

The Algeria international is under contract at Manchester City until June 2030. His current market value is estimated at 40m euros by Transfermarkt, meaning Juventus would likely need to make a particularly attractive offer to persuade the club to consider a sale.

Unless such a proposal arrives, Manchester City are expected to retain Ait-Nouri despite the interest from the Italian side. The long-term contract also gives the club a strong negotiating position as the transfer deadline approaches.

For Juventus, the situation leaves a potential late move dependent on Manchester City changing their stance. Spalletti’s preference for Ait-Nouri and the club’s continued monitoring underline the Turin side’s interest, but there is currently no indication that the Premier League champions are prepared to weaken their defensive options.

The report comes as Juventus prepare to face Frosinone in the opening round of the Italian championship. That match is due to take place soon, with Juventus listed as strong favourites by betting company 1xbet.

The published odds rate a Frosinone victory at 6.20, while a draw is priced at 4.15 and a Juventus win at 1.19.
