Hassimi Fadiga: France-Guinea midfielder joins Al-Jandal on free transfer

France-Guinea attacking midfielder Hassimi Fadiga has joined Saudi First Division League side Al-Jandal from Al-Arabi on a free transfer.

Fadiga, 29, completed the move on 19 August 2026 after leaving the Kuwaiti club, which he joined from Bulgarian side Levski Sofia in July 2025. His arrival gives Al-Jandal a senior midfield option with experience of football in France, Bulgaria and the Gulf region.

The right-footed player has signed a contract with Al-Jandal running until 30 June 2027. He plays primarily as an attacking midfielder and stands 1.88m tall.

Fadiga spent the 2025-26 season with Al-Arabi after making another free transfer from Levski Sofia. During his time in Bulgaria, he made 43 appearances in the efbet Liga, scoring six goals and providing one assist. He also featured in European qualifying and the Bulgarian Cup, registering one goal and one assist across those competitions.

Before moving abroad, Fadiga played for Le Mans FC, joining the French club from Le Puy Foot in January 2022. He made 51 appearances in Ligue 3, scoring three goals and recording one assist, while also appearing in the Coupe de France.

His record in France also includes spells with Le Puy Foot, Aviron Bayonnais, UES Montmorillon and Chatellerault. With Le Puy Foot, he scored four goals in 25 National 2 appearances and added seven goals in 20 matches in the same competition during an earlier campaign.

Fadiga’s move to Al-Jandal continues a career in which each of his recorded club transfers has been completed without a fee. He now joins a Saudi club after spending the previous campaign with Al-Arabi and having first left France for Levski Sofia in 2023.

The transfer was completed on 19 August, and Fadiga is contracted to Al-Jandal until the end of June 2027.
