Newcastle linked with Galatasaray defender Wilfried Singo
Galatasaray’s Ivorian right-back Wilfried Singo has been linked with a move to Newcastle in a potential transfer between the Turkish Super Lig and the Premier League.
Singo, 25, joined Galatasaray from Monaco on 28 August 2025 in a deal worth €30.77m. He has a contract with the Turkish champions until 30 June 2030, meaning any move would involve a player who remains under a long-term agreement.
The defender’s current market value is listed at €23m. Singo has made two appearances and provided one assist in the latest available record, while he has yet to appear in Galatasaray’s opening Super Lig fixture of the 2026-27 campaign.
He helped Galatasaray win the Turkish title in the 2025-26 season, adding the honour to the Africa Cup of Nations title he won with Ivory Coast in 2024.
Singo began his senior European career with Torino after moving from Ivory Coast before joining Monaco in 2023. He played for Monaco for two seasons before his transfer to Galatasaray.
The Newcastle link comes with Singo established at a club that secured his services for a significant fee only a year ago and holds him to a contract running through 2030.
