Modena add Italy-Ghana midfielder Wisdom Acquah to Serie B squad
Italy-Ghana midfielder Wisdom Acquah has joined Modena from Torino on loan, giving the Serie B club a new option in defensive midfield.
Acquah is 19 and was born in Calcinate, Italy. He stands 1.84m tall and is left-footed, with defensive midfield listed as his primary position. His two nationalities reflect his Italian birthplace and Ghanaian heritage.
The move takes Acquah from Torino, a Serie A club, to Modena’s squad in Italy’s second tier. The transfer was completed on 18 August 2026, with his contract at Modena running until 30 June 2027.
Acquah arrives after a period with Torino, where he won the Italian Youth Championship at Under-18 level during the 2024-25 season. That honour is the main achievement recorded in his playing career so far and came before his switch to Modena.
His listed market value is €400,000, although no separate transfer fee has been given for the loan move. Modena will therefore have the teenager available for the 2026-27 campaign under the terms of the completed agreement.
The midfielder’s profile is defined by his role in front of the defence, while his height and left-footed delivery provide further detail about the type of player joining the Emilia-Romagna club. His arrival also continues a career that has so far been based in Italy, from his youth football with Torino to his new challenge in Serie B.
Acquah’s move is a direct change of division between two Italian clubs: Torino compete in Serie A, while Modena play in Serie B. He joins Modena as a young midfielder with an Under-18 national title already on his record and a contract dated through June 2027.
The loan transfer from Torino to Modena was completed on 18 August 2026.
