Sifiso Timba returns to Gomora United for second loan spell from Kaizer Chiefs
South Africa right-back Sifiso Timba has joined Gomora United on loan from Kaizer Chiefs, returning to the club for a second spell that runs until 30 June 2027.
The 20-year-old defender spent the second half of the 2025-26 season with Gomora United after moving there on loan in January. He returned to Kaizer Chiefs at the end of that temporary agreement before switching back to Gomora United on 18 August 2026.
Timba’s latest move gives him another opportunity to continue his development with the Betway Premiership club, having previously spent five months there during the 2025-26 campaign. His return follows a period at Kaizer Chiefs, where he has been part of the club’s senior setup since moving up from Kaizer Chiefs II at the start of 2026.
The right-back began his progression within the Kaizer Chiefs system after leaving the club’s youth team for Kaizer Chiefs II in November 2023. He then moved into the first-team structure in January 2026 before his initial loan to Gomora United later that month.
Timba has also represented South Africa at under-20 level and was part of the side that won the Under-20 Africa Cup in 2025. He is listed at 1.77m and operates primarily on the right side of defence.
His latest temporary move comes at the start of the 2026-27 season. Gomora United have played three possible Betway Premiership fixtures and one MTN8 match in the current campaign, although Timba has not yet made an appearance in either competition.
The defender’s return means he will again be available to Gomora United while remaining a Kaizer Chiefs player. He is scheduled to go back to Kaizer Chiefs when the loan ends on 30 June 2027.
