Mamadou Toure: Spanish-Ivorian winger joins Puebla Calzada
Spanish-Ivorian winger Mamadou Toure has joined Puebla Calzada after spending the previous two years without a club. The 26-year-old has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027.
Toure’s move to the Spanish side was completed on 17 August 2026, with Puebla Calzada becoming his latest club after a period away from competitive football. He was most recently registered with SP Villafranca, whom he joined from Sant Cugat in January 2024.
The left winger began his senior-career journey in Spain after coming through the youth system at Barcelona before moving to Italy. He joined Fiorentina’s under-17 side from Barca U16 in August 2016 and progressed to the club’s under-19 team the following year.
Toure was part of the Fiorentina Primavera squad that won the Coppa Italia Primavera during the 2018-19 season. He subsequently spent time on loan with Portuguese club Olhanense and Spanish side LGC SAD before leaving Fiorentina in October 2020 to join Alhaurin.
The winger later returned to Spain, representing CD Tarancon, CD Varea, Sant Cugat and SP Villafranca. His move to CD Varea in January 2023 followed a period without a club, while his switches to Sant Cugat and SP Villafranca were both completed without a transfer fee.
Born in Granollers on 30 January 2000, Toure holds Spanish and Ivorian nationality. He stands 1.79 metres tall, plays primarily on the left side of the attack and favours his right foot.
Puebla Calzada are Toure’s latest destination as he begins the next chapter of a career that has taken him through youth football in Spain, Italy’s Fiorentina academy and clubs in both Spain and Portugal. His contract with the club is set to run through the end of June 2027.
Toure has now completed his move to Puebla Calzada and is under contract with the club until 30 June 2027.
