Jean-David Beauguel leaves Artis Brno as French-Chadian striker becomes free agent

French-Chadian centre-forward Jean-David Beauguel has left Artis Brno and joined the ranks of unattached players.

The 34-year-old’s departure was completed on 17 August 2026 after one season with the Czech club. Beauguel had joined Artis Brno from Polish side Stal Mielec in September 2025, moving on a free transfer.

Beauguel made one appearance in the Moravskoslezska fotbalova liga during the 2026-27 campaign, scoring twice in 45 minutes. He did not feature in the Chance Liga during the same period.

Standing at 1.96m, the right-footed striker has spent much of his career in European football, with his most notable spell coming in the Czech Republic. He joined Viktoria Plzen from Fastav Zlin in January 2019 and was part of the side that won the Czech title in the 2021-22 season.

That campaign also brought Beauguel the Fortuna Liga top-scorer award after he scored 19 goals. He later moved to Saudi Arabian club Al-Wehda in July 2022 on a free transfer, having left Viktoria Plzen.

Before returning to the Czech league with Artis Brno, Beauguel played for QD West Coast and Stal Mielec. He joined Stal Mielec from QD West Coast in February 2025, also on a free transfer.

His career in the Czech Republic began with Dukla Prague, whom he joined from Dutch club RKC Waalwijk in July 2014. He subsequently switched to Fastav Zlin in January 2017, where he won the Czech Cup that season.

Beauguel began his senior club career with Toulouse B before moving to Esperance in 2012. He later spent a period without a club before joining RKC Waalwijk in 2013.

The striker’s honours include one Czech league title, one Czech Cup and the 2021-22 Fortuna Liga golden boot. Beauguel is now without a club following the conclusion of his spell at Artis Brno.
