Everton’s Tim Iroegbunam emerges as Trabzonspor transfer target
English-Nigerian midfielder Tim Iroegbunam is the subject of transfer interest from Trabzonspor, with the 23-year-old currently contracted to Everton.
The central midfielder joined Everton from Aston Villa on 1 July 2024 in a deal worth €10.7m and has a contract at Goodison Park until 30 June 2027. He is valued at €18m, placing his reported status among the club’s current transfer considerations in a potential move to the Turkish Super Lig.
Iroegbunam has made 59 Premier League appearances during his career, supplying four assists. He also spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Championship side QPR, where he made 32 league appearances and scored twice, before returning to Aston Villa.
He began his senior career at Villa after progressing through West Bromwich Albion’s academy and represented England at youth level. Iroegbunam was part of the England Under-19 side that won the European Under-19 Championship in 2022.
The midfielder remains an Everton player and is under contract for a further season beyond the current campaign. Any move to Trabzonspor would therefore require agreement between the Turkish club and Everton, with the length of his existing deal a relevant factor in discussions.
