Zamalek weigh move for FCSB midfielder Joao Paulo
Cape Verde midfielder Joao Paulo is the subject of interest from Zamalek, with the FCSB player linked with a move to the Egyptian Premier League club.
The 28-year-old defensive midfielder joined FCSB from Otelul Galati in February 2026 for €600,000 and remains under contract until 30 June 2028.
Joao Paulo has made three appearances in the SuperLiga this season, scoring once, while he also found the net in one appearance during Conference League qualifying. He has started one of his four matches across those competitions.
His involvement comes after he helped FC Sheriff Tiraspol win the Moldavian Cup in the 2024-25 season. He moved to Otelul Galati on a free transfer last July before securing his switch to FCSB seven months later.
Joao Paulo’s current market value is listed at €900,000, although there is no indication of a fee being discussed for a potential move to Zamalek.
FCSB signed the left-footed midfielder earlier this year, and his existing contract means any transfer would require an agreement between the Romanian club and Zamalek.
