Al Ahly weigh move for AS FAR Rabat left-back Jamal Ech-Chamakh

Morocco left-back Jamal Ech-Chamakh is being linked with a move from AS FAR Rabat to Al Ahly, with the Egyptian Premier League club emerging as a potential destination for the 26-year-old.

Ech-Chamakh joined AS FAR from Hassania in July 2025 and remains under contract with the Moroccan club until 30 June 2028. He is valued at €500,000.

The defender has established himself in Morocco’s domestic game, making 160 Botola Pro appearances and contributing nine goals and 12 assists. He has also played in continental competition, featuring seven times in the CAF Champions League and scoring once.

Ech-Chamakh began his senior career with Hassania after progressing from HUSA’s under-21 side. His move to AS FAR was completed on a free transfer last year, and he has since become part of a squad competing in Morocco’s top flight and African competitions.

A switch to Al Ahly would take him from the Botola Pro Inwi to Egypt’s Premier League, although the rumour remains unconfirmed. No transfer fee or probability has been established, and the player’s existing contract means AS FAR would have him tied down for two more seasons beyond the current campaign.
