Eastern Enppi complete five signings ahead of 2026-27 Egyptian league season

Eastern Enppi have signed five players on free transfers as they strengthen their squad for the start of the 2026-27 Egyptian league season.

The club are preparing for the new campaign following their merger with Eastern Company, in an arrangement described as the first of its kind in Egyptian football alongside Suez and Petrojet.

The five new arrivals are Ammar Hamdy, who joins from ZED, and Ahmed Mahmoud, who arrives from Zamalek. Mohamed Essam has moved from Ceramica Cleopatra, while Ahmed Shaddad has joined from Al Masry.

The fifth signing is Youssef Sayed Abdel Hafeez, who has left Al Ahly to become part of the Eastern Enppi squad.

All five deals have been completed as free transfers, with the club adding reinforcements before beginning their first campaign under the new structure.

The merger means Eastern Enppi will enter the season with a significantly reshaped squad. Alongside the five additions, eight players have left the club during the current summer transfer window.

Ali Mahmoud and Aqtai Abdullah have joined Al Ahly on permanent deals. Four other players Khaled Seddik, Ahmed Zaki, Salah Zayed and Ahmed Sherif have moved to El Gouna on loan.

Seif Safaga has also departed on a temporary basis, joining Algerian club CR Temouchent on loan. Mohab Sami has completed another loan move, this time to Canal SC.

Eastern Enppi will begin their 2026-27 campaign against Al Ahly in the opening round. The match is scheduled to take place on 22 August.

The opening fixture will give the newly merged side an immediate test against one of Egyptian football’s leading clubs, as the team begins a new chapter with a squad featuring five fresh additions and eight summer departures.

Their recruitment has focused on bringing in players from a range of established Egyptian clubs, including ZED, Zamalek, Ceramica Cleopatra, Al Masry and Al Ahly. At the same time, several members of the existing squad have been allowed to leave, either permanently or on loan, as the club finalise their preparations for the new season.

The merger with Eastern Company has made the build-up to the campaign particularly significant for the club. Eastern Enppi will now look to establish its identity and competitive position when the Egyptian league season gets under way, beginning with the meeting with Al Ahly on 22 August.
