Nigeria centre-forward Chinemerem Godwin has joined Maltese club Mosta FC from Estonian side Kalju FC.

The 21-year-old completed the move on 15 August 2026 after one season with Kalju, where he won the Estonian Super Cup in 2026. Godwin joins Mosta as a 1.92m right-footed striker and becomes part of the club’s squad for the new campaign.

Godwin spent the 2025-26 season with Kalju after moving to the Estonian club from Israel’s Bnei Sakhnin in August 2025. His previous spell with Bnei Sakhnin followed a period in which he played on loan for Hapoel Umm al-Fahm and Ramat haSharon during the 2024-25 season.

He initially joined Bnei Sakhnin’s under-19 side from Jimmy FA in September 2023 before moving into the senior set-up the following year. His career to date has therefore included football in Nigeria, Israel and Estonia, with the switch to Mosta marking his latest international move.

Godwin’s arrival gives Mosta another centre-forward option as they compete in Malta’s Premier League Opening Round and the qualifying stages of the Uefa Conference League. The transfer also sees him leave Kalju after the club’s Super Cup success, adding a domestic honour to his record before his move to Malta.

The Nigerian striker had been registered for Kalju’s 2026-27 campaign, although he did not make an appearance in the Estonian Cup or Conference League qualifying matches before completing the transfer. Mosta’s new signing will now continue his career in Maltese football, having represented clubs across three European leagues.

Godwin has joined Mosta FC from Kalju FC, with the transfer completed on 15 August 2026.
