Sami Tlemcani: Morocco-France goalkeeper joins MO Bejaia on contract until 2027

Morocco-France goalkeeper Sami Tlemcani has joined Algerian club MO Bejaia, signing a contract that runs until 30 June 2027.

The 22-year-old, who was born in Saint-Maurice, completed the move on 15 August after leaving AEK Athens B in July 2025. No transfer fee has been disclosed for his arrival.

Tlemcani is a goalkeeper, stands at 1.95m and is right-footed. He becomes part of the MO Bejaia squad after a period without a club following his departure from AEK Athens B.

The move to Algeria follows Tlemcani’s spell with AEK Athens B, whom he joined from Chelsea Under-21s in July 2023. That switch was completed as a free transfer, giving him experience of a move between clubs before his latest change.

Tlemcani joined Chelsea’s youth system from Paris FC Under-17s in October 2020 in a deal worth €1.8m. He subsequently spent time with Merstham on loan during the 2021-22 season before returning to Chelsea’s academy.

His youth career began at Creteil, where he was part of the club’s youth set-up until moving to Paris FC in July 2018. He then progressed through Paris FC’s youth ranks before making the move to Chelsea.

Tlemcani holds Moroccan and French nationality. His arrival at MO Bejaia represents the latest step in a career that has taken him through youth football in France, England and Greece before his move to Algeria.

He joins MO Bejaia on a contract lasting until the end of June 2027.
